I USE LIQUID OR POWDER

Using liquid or powdered chlorine as your primary sanitizer is tricky. These products are typically used for shocking only because they raise the free chlorine level rapidly.

The roller-coaster

Lots of pools, specifically commercial, use liquid chlorine.

However, they all have one thing in common, they have a feeding system.

Adding chlorine to the pool needs to be a consistent, metered affair that includes raising and lowing the amount introduced into the pool based on the amount needed right now.

Adding sanitizer every day or two creates the roller-coaster effect and that means you are wasting dollars.

One of two things is for sure:

  • You will add so much that you never have an issue

  • You don't add enough and you have to fix an algae problem

If you want to use something besides tablets, we suggest that you invest in a feeder system. It will pay for itself in a short time.
