NATURES PURE INITIAL SET UP

All instructions are per 10,000 gallons of pool water

Water Preparation:

  • Add 20lbs Natures Pure Energizer

  • Add 10lbs Natures Pure pH balance

  • Add 40lbs Pool Salt

  • Add 1lb Natures Pure Sanitizer 56

  • Add 1lb Natures Pure Oxidizer

  • Add 3 lbs CYA Stabilizer (cyanuric acid) to the skimmer

  • Add 1 Poolife NST tablet to the pool skimmer

  • Place the Natures Pure Mineralizer puck in the pump basket. A slight blue color may be seen as an initial boost of minerals is released.

DO NOT REMOVE THE MINERALIZER PUCK. It will last for six months and needs to be submerged in moving water at all times to work properly.

DO NOT CLEAN THE FILTER for five days. Some of the initial minerals may be trapped in the filter for a short time. After the initial 5 day period you may clean the filter as needed.

Balance the pool water to as close the following targets as possible:

  • pH 7.5

  • Alkalinity 100 ppm

  • Hardness 250 ppm

Keeping pool water balanced is an important part of pool maintenance. It makes the water feel better, look better and the chemicals you purchase function properly. Out of balance water can cause irritation, red eye and premature component failure.

NATURES PURE MAINTENANCE

All instructions are per 10,000 gallons of pool water

Weekly:

  • Add 1 Poolife NST tablet to the pool skimmer

  • Test and balance the water if needed

Every two weeks:

  • Add 1lb Natures Pure Sanitizer 56*

  • Add 1lb Natures Pure Oxidizer**

The amount of sanitizer and oxidizer required are a variable and different for every pool.

*Sanitizer is consumed daily by sunlight, pollutants and swimmers. If testing for sanitizer is consistently low, make sure that there is at least 30 ppm CYA in the water to prevent sanitizer erosion from sunlight. For most pools, the constant presence of a Poolife NST tablet in the skimmer is sufficient to maintain a 0.5-1.0 ppm chlorine residual. However, you may find it necessary to supplement the tablet with more chlorine to maintain a consistent level of 0.5 ppm or higher. Adding a second Poolife NST tablet or a weekly addition of Natures Pure Sanitizer 56 may be required for your individual pool.

**Oxidizer removes bather waste and organic compounds that tie up sanitizer and cause cloudy water. The amount of oxidizer required depends on multiple factors such as the number of swimmers in a particular week or a weather event. If you experience cloudy water, it is almost certainly due to a lack of sanitizer and/or oxidizer for a particular period. It may be necessary to add oxidizer on a weekly basis during periods of heavy use or harsh weather.

Most pool owners become familiar with the personality of their particular pool and will be proactive before or immediately after rain events or parties by adding additional sanitizer and/or oxidizer to prevent problems from occurring.

Monthly:

It's always good to prevent rather than repair. Have your water tested by your local pool professional every month or so. Have them check for Borate, the base chemical in Natures Pure Energizer. Although it does not leave the pool like sanitizer, it can be splashed or backwashed out of the pool and require a top up now and then.

This particular part of the program prevents algae, enhances the effectiveness of sanitizers, softens the feel of water and makes pool water sparkle. Your target is 50 ppm or more. If you test below 30 ppm, it's definitely time to top up. Add another initial start up dose to bring the amount above 50 ppm.

Natures Pure Re-Energizer is the same product in a 5lb container you can add on a weekly or monthly basis to keep up with loss if you backwash frequently.
